The Budweiser Clydesdale horses are coming to the area P.A. Short Distributing and Downtown Roanoke, Inc. are excited to announce one of the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales, the symbol of quality and tradition for Anheuser-Busch since 1933, is scheduled to appear at The Historic City Market in Downtown Roanoke on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Photo opportunities will be available.

BACKGROUND: Anheuser-Busch’s Budweiser Clydesdales make hundreds of appearances each year. The Clydesdales are an American icon and one of the world’s most recognized corporate symbols. This summer, they are traveling across the country in support of Anheuser-Busch’s partnership with Folds of Honor.

To qualify for a hitch, a Clydesdale must be a gelding at least four years of age, stand 72 inches at the shoulder when fully mature, weigh between 1,800 and 2,300 pounds, have a bay coat, a blaze of white on the face, four white legs, and a black mane and tail.
