COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT – MARTINSVILLE CITY ANIMAL CONTROL

January 1 - February 28

Recently, a fire destroyed the Martinsville City Animal Shelter — a place built with heart, dedication, and love for animals in need.
For nearly three years, Animal Control Officer Mabe has served the city, often working alone, relying on foster families and rescue partners to care for animals with limited resources. That shelter became more than a building — it became a lifeline. And now, it’s gone.
If you’d like to help, an Amazon Wish List has been created with urgently needed items like pet food, crates, blankets, and leashes for foster homes:

Monetary donations are being accepted at Carter Bank and Trust under the Animal Shelter Fund for the City of Martinsville.
Donations may also be dropped off at PetSmart of Danville, the Martinsville-Henry County SPCA, or the Martinsville Police Department on West Church Street.
Foster homes are also needed.
If you’re unable to give, please share.
