This is also a popular way to see Smith Mountain Lake fireworks on the water (near channel marker R8). Many locals and residents make it a tradition to come to the Smith Mountain Lake fireworks by boat each year.  Benefiting Saunders Volunteer Fire Co.

Parkway Marina fireworks start shortly after dark on July 2. Also, it’s important to note that the viewing area is a no-wake zone. Please be patient, safe and courteous.

Mitchell’s Point Marina Fireworks 2022

Mitchell’s Point Marina fireworks begin at dusk (approximately 9 p.m.) on July 3. The event is free but donations will be accepted for Semper Fi & America’s Fund and Operation Command.

Parking is limited at Mitchell’s Point so it’s best to view these fireworks on Smith Mountain Lake by boat from Craddock Creek near channel marker C3.
